Sleepy Nighttime Mocktail
There’s something about nighttime that calls for a ritual.
Not a routine you rush through but a small moment you look forward to. For me, that moment used to be a glass of wine at the end of the day. But over time, I noticed it wasn’t actually helping me rest. It made falling asleep harder, my sleep lighter, and my mornings slower.
So I started experimenting with nighttime mocktails. These are drinks that feel intentional and indulgent, without alcohol or caffeine. And this one quickly became my go-to.
This Berry Nightcap Mocktail is calm, tart-sweet, and grounding. It’s the kind of drink you sip slowly while the house gets quiet, the lights get softer, and your body starts to unwind.
And the best part? It’s built around one ingredient I now keep stocked at all times.
The Ingredient I Don’t Skip at Night
I’ve tried a lot of “wind-down” drinks over the years. Herbal teas, magnesium powders, and warm lemon water, just to name a few, and while they all have their place, this one stands out.
I use AGZ Berry – Nightly Rest & Restore as the base of this mocktail. It dissolves easily, tastes genuinely good (not medicinal), and feels like it was made for nighttime.
Instead of forcing yourself to drink something because it’s “good for you,” this feels like a treat which makes sticking to a nighttime ritual so much easier.
(I link my exact AGZ products below so you can recreate this exactly as written.)
Berry Nightcap Mocktail (Sleep-Friendly)
This mocktail is lightly tart, gently citrusy, and refreshing without being stimulating — perfect for evenings.
Ingredients
1 packet AGZ Berry – Nightly Rest & Restore
½ cup tart cherry juice (or an unsweetened cherry-cranberry blend)
¼ cup sparkling water (use still water if you prefer a softer drink)
½ oz fresh lemon juice
Ice
Optional garnish (but highly recommended):
Lemon peel twist
Fresh rosemary or lavender sprig
How to Make It
Fill a short glass with ice.
Add the AGZ Berry packet directly over the ice.
Pour in the tart cherry juice and fresh lemon juice.
Top with sparkling water.
Stir gently until fully dissolved.
Garnish with a lemon twist and herbs.
Take your time with this one. It’s meant to signal the end of the day.
Optional Variations
If you want to switch things up:
Warm version: Skip the ice and sparkling water, use warm water instead for a cozy night drink
Sweeter: Add ½ teaspoon honey or maple syrup
Herbal: Muddle a few blueberries or a basil leaf before stirring
The AGZ Berry packet works beautifully in all of these.
Why This Mocktail Works So Well at Night
I’m intentional about what I drink in the evening, and every ingredient here has a purpose.
AGZ Berry → supports nighttime rest and recovery
Tart cherry juice → naturally contains melatonin
Lemon juice → brightens the flavor without caffeine
Sparkling water → gives that cocktail feel without alcohol
It scratches the same itch as a nightcap all without disrupting sleep.
I usually make this after dinner, once the kitchen is cleaned up. Sometimes I drink it while reading, sometimes while watching a show, and sometimes just standing at the counter in silence.
If you want to turn this into a full ritual:
Dim the lights
Put your phone down
Sip slowly
Let your body catch up with the day
It sounds simple, but small habits like this make a noticeable difference over time.
